Hudson River Park’s beloved Blues BBQ Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this season! Join the party to close out your summer with a fantastic lineup of artists from across the United States. Enjoy barbecue from local New York City favorites (including Blue Smoke, Butcher Bar, Dinosaur and Mighty Quinn's!), and sip on beer from Sixpoint while you listen to one of our most exciting lineups ever!

Thousands of music lovers pack the Bryant Park lawn for a FREE two-day music festival celebrating up-and-coming new bands, including indie rock, soul, folk, singer-songwriter, and more.

Between sets attendees can play lawn games, learn to juggle, and purchase food and beverages from local vendors curated by Hester Street Fair.

Free Opera in the Park: Carmen

New York City Opera presents a free hour long performance of Carmen in Bryant Park.

The innkeeper Lillas Pastia narrates the tempestuous story of the irresistible seductress Carmen and her hapless lover Don José in this hour-long presentation of highlights from Bizet’s beloved opera. A perfect introduction to opera for newcomers of any age!

Sketch and Paint Night

Wednesday, September 4, 4 - 8 PM

Bryant Park

The Art Cart takes over the Lawn for an evening workshop series featuring two large-scale visual art classes, beer and wine for purchase, and games for all ages.

4pm begins a drop-in live figure drawing class for all ages, and a simultaneous portrait class for teens. Instruction and models provided by Grand Central Atelier. Participants are encouraged to bring their own materials, though we will have a limited amount onsite.

At 6pm we host the largest Paint and Sip that Bryant Park has ever seen, with instruction by La Pittura Art Studio. This popular program will sell out, so reserve your spot at the ticket link. Pre-registration is required, though there may be open spots if we have no-shows. Registration opens 10am on August 21.

Jazz in Times Square: Alexis Morrast
